THE TRUTH

“You are a king, then!” said Pilate.

Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.”

John 18:37

“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”

Matthew 6:33

The One reason Jesus Christ went to the cross.

Loving obedience to the Father.

To ‘testify to the truth’

And by doing so He gave credence to His statement to “seek first his kingdom”.

In doing so

“all these things will be given to you as well.”

“And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything
for the church”.

Ephesians 1:22

Jesus Christ is Head of the Church

Colossians 1:15-20 emphasizes this.

‘Who is the image of the invisible God,
the firstborn over every creature.
For in him were all things created, which are in heaven
and which are in the earth,
things visible and invisible:
whether they be Thrones, or Dominions,
or Principalities, or Powers,
all things were created by him and for him.
And he is before all things,
and in him all things consist.
And he is the head of the body of the the church:
he is the beginning, and the first begotten of the dead,
that in all things he might have the preeminence.
For it pleased the Father, that in him should
all fullness dwell.
And through peace made by the blood of that his cross,
to reconciled to himself through him,
through him, I say, all things, both which are
in earth, and which are in heaven”.
